Run for the Son is held at the Portage Celery Flats on the last Saturday of September. Run for the Son features a 5K (3.1 miles) run or walk on a USTFF certified course. We welcome the strong competitor, leisurely jogger, recreational walker, casual stroller or someone pushing a stroller. It is also a great opportunity to invite friends to join you in a positive, encouraging environment with Christian music and lots of fun. We're told we have one of the best after-run food tables in the area. There are also great door prizes and medals to the first and second place finishers in each age group.

This event is sponsored by local churches (Westwood CRC, North Park Reformed, Richland Bible and Southern Heights CRC) to provide a day of fitness and fellowship in addition to raising funds for the Kalamazoo Deacons Conference.
